The Equipment Installation Technician is responsible for the proper installation and operation of truck and trailer mounted equipment as assigned.

- Will train with proven mechanical aptitude.
- Read job order and plan work procedures.
- Document work performed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Must be proficient in the proper and safe use of hand and air operated tools.
- Must have own basic hand tools.
- A preferred basic understanding of the operation and use of a welder and a cutting torch; will teach according to business need.
- Must be capable of installing 12VDC electrical components.
- Preferred welding experience; will teach according to business need.
- Must be capable of performing vehicle equipment installations on all classes of vehicles with limited supervision and be capable of performing installation of the following per manufacturer instructions:
- Tool box – all styles
- Headache rack, ladder racks
- Tube steps, auxiliary steps
- Grill Guards, tow hooks, 12VDC winches
- Receiver hitches, trailer light connections
- Fire extinguisher & first aid kits
- Auxiliary lighting and switches
- Van interior components
- Heavy and light duty Wrecker Body install
- Electrical and hydraulic cranes
- Hook lifts
- Lift gates
- Platform beds
- Air Compressor, generator, welder
- Service bodies

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 12-18 months experience in automotive industry with preference given to persons having experience in installation of commercial truck and trailer mounted equipment.
