New Graduate Program positon for Rush Enterprises.

SUMMARY: The New Graduate Program Trainee will complete a designed curriculum to make the Trainee familiar with all aspects of dealership operations. The goal of the New Graduate Program Trainee upon completion of the training will be placed within a dealership or be placed with in a Leadership Development Program, with the expectation that this candidate will grow and develop as a potential candidate for future management positions.

 

Successful placement into a dealership job upon the completion of training requires the New Graduate Program Trainee to become familiar with Company policies, procedures, and working knowledge of the Company’s customer base and how to solve problems for the customer, how to achieve profit in each area of the business and how each job within a dealership relates to others.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties and responsibilities beyond this representative listing may be assigned to the essential job duties and responsibilities of this position based on Company needs.

 

Ability to physically work in each of the required job functions to obtain a working knowledge of each department and become proficient in all segments of dealership operations.

 

Maintain a driving record that will allow insurability with the company’s insurance carrier.

 

Ability to obtain and utilize a commercial driver’s license and become proficient in the operation of a variety of commercial vehicles and equipment.

 

Must be able to concentrate on and rapidly assimilate all materials and information provided as part of the training curriculum.

 

Must maintain a record of training successfully completed and communicate the status of the training with the training coordinator on a regular basis.

 

Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.

 

Ability to identify problems and opportunities and quickly assess possible solutions.

 

Must be punctual.

 

Must demonstrate positive corporate citizenship and the Rush Driving Principles.

 

Must have a working knowledge of computers and standard business software.

 

Upon completion of training must be able to relocate to any Rush Truck Centers location.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

 

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Must possess a current and valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.

 

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret and apply understanding to documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to learn and become proficient in computer software relevant to the operation of each department. Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak clearly and effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to read, interpret and apply concepts presented in the training program, to include but not limited to financial reports, written or oral presentations and/or graphs and diagrams.
