Service Manager

The Service Manager directs an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of service records.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department.
  2. Monitor and control the performance of the department using appropriate reporting and tracking systems.
  3. Monitor technicians’ daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
  4. Assign work to equipment installation technicians to correlate skill set with customer needs.
  5. Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  6. Prepare pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations.
  7. Maintain reporting systems required by general management and corporate personnel.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Two years’ service department experience in a commercial dealership environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with SAP a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
